Monthly tea clubs ship date changing

Monthly tea clubs are now going to ship on the 1st of each month. They were previously slated to ship on the 21st of each month. This caused quite a bit of confusion as they were meant to arrive on the 1st of each month. Starting immediately, they will ship on the 1st.

The next shipment is February 1st.

Gift Certificate updates

Several areas of the website, dragonwater.com, have been updated to make purchasing and redeeming gift certificates easier.

The gift certificate checkout process now does a better job of guiding you through the process, including printing of the gift certificate with the redeemable gift code. It was easy to overlook the printing step before resulting in the gift code never being received by the client.

The gift code has now been added to the order history on dragonwater.com as well as the shipping/activation email sent once the code is setup.

Gift code setup is also a priority. We will move these to the top of the order flow regardless of when the order is placed.

We hope these changes will make it easier for you to give gift certificates to your friends and loved ones. It really is a great way to give tea.

Postal Rates Increasing

It's that time of year. On Monday, the Post Office raised rates on all its packages. There are some pretty significant increases once you get above a pound.

As a result, we are increasing our flat rate shipping to $5.95. For some smaller packages, the Priority Mail option may give you a better rate. As always, we offer you all your pricing options quoted directly from the Post Office or Fedex. In the majority of cases, the flat rate shipping will still save you lots of money.

Dragonwater Tea Company Newsletter - January 2009

The holiday season, and the snow, are now behind us. It was a rough one. Heavy snowfall prevented us from restocking our teas for almost all of December. With bare shelves and a tough economy, it was a lackluster season at best. But there is some good news, we are now getting shipments in and our shelves are almost completely restocked! While we can't recover th e holiday sales, we hope you'll help us get 2009 of to a good start. The sale code in this newsletter should help get you motivated.

Also of note is that our House Assam is now a higher grade version (SFTGFOP-1), our Black Caramel has a new and tastier for mula, and our Congestion Blend and Nighttime blend are back to their original formulas, Congestion having elder flowers aga in and Nighttime having whole hops flowers in the mix.

Thanks for a great 2008. We're glad to still be here and still be strong going into 2009. It just proves that tea is some thing we can't live without and even in tough times, it's more than a luxury. It's essential!
